Changes, apology and what you have to look forward to.

Dec 4, 2020

Hi, we’ve been making some changes and working hard and I wanted to tell you about it. First of all though I wanted to apologise for the downtime there was on the 3rd of December. Amazon made some changes and our extension stopped loading due to it, it’s all fixed now.

Starting today we are consolidating our 3 access tiers into 2. Previously there was one level of access for people who have the extension, another for people who have the extension and have signed up (free) and another for paid subscribers. It was always awkward and we don’t see a point in requiring an email anymore. What this will mean if you are one of our users that hadn’t signed up is you will get access to a whole lot more results.

We’ve had our head down for the past month or so, I’ve been researching like crazy and anticipate adding a few 100,000 more Made in USA products to our database over the next 1-2 months. We’ve also made a lot of improvements to our extension search, which you may or may not have noticed. If you are a paid subscriber over the next week or so you will see a big improvement to the popover, we’ve made it a lot better.

In the next few months you can look forward to way more products, a search that works a lot better, and some new features I can’t talk about yet.

I would love to hear from you! In particular if you use the extension I would love to hear how you use it. Do you use it to discover new brands you hadn’t heard about, or do you shop right through the extension bar? Shoot me a message with an answer to that, or any other feedback you have at Gareth@BuyLocalized.com.
